Those Nights
Those sleepless nights, when you lie listening to the silence around you, the breath of your partner, and all of sudden the silence is broken with a word or sentence that your partner says as a part of his/her dream.The feeling when the alarm wakes you up in the morning interrupts your dream and you lie there between the real and dream world. The dream holds you, for a moment it is more real for you than the world around you.
This series are interpretations of my husband's dreams. The inspiration to take these images came after listening his talking in his sleep, but the final image is my interpretation and vision about the world beyond our dreams and reality. They contain his hopes, fears and thoughts, but as my free interpretations.
The images do not only tell a story about my husband, his dreams and nightmares, they as well tell the story about us as a couple. While they reflect his thoughts and feelings about our relationship, through my interpretation the images are also about me.
