Liverpool FC 2008/2009
In our family, dinner, shopping, meeting friends and almost any other plans are scheduled around Liverpool’s games. I have to admit that my husband is not one of those absolutely crazy fans who travel to every single match, but when he's watching the game at home, it feels like he's one of the fans in the stands.
For me it has always been interesting and intriguing how much emotions are involved in supporting a team. I is fascinating to watch my husband's body language, his moods and everyday life to be so strongly dependent on how well or bad Liverpool played.
Over the season 2008/2009 I photographed my husband’s facial expressions on the 90th minute of the English Premier League games. And during this year I learned at least that no football match is “just a game”.
That season Liverpool FC finished 2nd in the league, four points behind the champions.
