Biography

For me photography is a media to transform and forward stories to other people, it is a way to help us in understanding the world around us.

One day in the age of four I was lying in my bed, puffing my anger in the air. My mother asked me why was I so angry and in such a bad mood. “ You would be in a bad mood too if you had images in your head but if they just resisted to come out.”, I answered.

For years I tried to find the right media to get those images out of my head into a concrete form. I tried painting, sculpture, graphics among other things until I found photography and a whole new world opened for me. Finally I had a media to tell all those stories I had in my mind.

My personal work deals with memories, displacement, and the past/ present issue. With my images I want to challenge the viewer and make them think. I like to give the audience an opportunity to make their own interpretations of my images and create their own stories.

The world is full of untold stories, tales and legends, which will disappear if we stop telling them passing them around to the other people. My mission is to give these stories, my own and others’, a new visual form so that they can be retold and repeated. New stories are born every day and we have barely started with the old ones.

The clock is ticking…
